Six pairs of hardwood triangular blocks — shake one and it makes a sound, and somewhere in the set is its match.

The clever part: each block is marked on one end only, with either a musical note or a weight symbol. Turn the marks away and a child has to find the pairs by ear or by heft alone — pure auditory and tactile discrimination, no peeking. Mix sound and weight blocks together and the game gets harder.

Lovely for listening, for language, and for a child who tunes into sound. Each block 5 x 6cm. For ages 12 months+.
