XL Polydron is properly large — squares 40.5cm a side. This starter set is 12 pieces, which sounds like nothing until you see how big a tower 12 of them makes.

The squares have holes in them, so a child inside a build can see out and a child outside can see in. That two-way looking is most of the play.

XL Polydron is four times the size of Giant Polydron, and the two fit together perfectly.
