Magnetic Field Wonder Window

Iron filings suspended in liquid behind a sealed polycarbonate window. Move a magnet across the back and they rise, swirl and stand on end, tracing lines your child can't see but can suddenly watch.

It's slow, silent and completely absorbing. There's nothing to build, nothing to get wrong, nothing to finish — just patterns forming and dissolving for as long as they want. That's a rare thing to be able to hand a child who needs to settle.

Please note: a magnet is not included. Any reasonably strong magnet works, and experimenting with different ones is half the fun.
